Community Integrity Initiative

About Community Integrity Initiative

Community Integrity Initiative (CII) is a Melbourne-based, community-led project building a cross-community safety coordination system. When information is fragmented across communities, the same harms can repeat. CII exists to help reduce repeated harm through structured reporting, mediation support, early risk awareness, and community protection education.

Our mission

To enable safer participation across communities by connecting them through structured reporting pathways, mediation and clarification support, early risk awareness, and responsible information handling—so that harm is reduced and misunderstandings can be addressed before they escalate.

Our Work

Four pillars guide what we do:

Structured Reporting Pathways

Structured submissions and evidence-aware reporting to reduce reactive public escalation and support responsible information handling.

Mediation and Clarification Support

Support for misunderstandings, incomplete information, and communication breakdowns. A neutral clarification pathway to reduce unnecessary escalation.

Risk Signals and Early Warning

Identifying repeated patterns across community spaces to support earlier risk awareness and reduce repeated harm.

Community Protection Education

Practical safety guidance, protection language for groups and events, and education on boundaries, evidence awareness, and responsible participation.

Team

CII is a growing volunteer-led team. We are in a pilot phase and welcome founding volunteers who share our values: reliability, clear boundaries, privacy awareness, and practical collaboration. If you want to contribute to cross-community safety coordination, we invite you to get in touch.

Support / Get involved

We invite volunteers, pilot partners, and collaborators. Our current focus is a Melbourne pilot. If you run a community space, event, or organisation and want to explore structured reporting or mediation support, or if you want to volunteer, please reach out via the Contact page.
